OH! Media headquarters is officially open for business!

Everyone is nicely settled in their own offices, the conference room table has been delivered and set up, the projector has been mounted in the ceiling, and the kitchen sink and cabinets installed.

Thank you to all of our clients for your patience during our transition.  With our new facility, we are better equipped to provide you with the services that you have come to expect from OH! Media.

This weekend we were notified that the OH! Media website has been chosen as a finalist at the SIMA ‘Best of Competition 2009′ awards. Winners will be announced at the SaskInteractive Summit on Thursday March 19 at the Saskatoon Inn. Wish us luck!

Wow, it’s an amazing honor for us at OH! to be recognized on the front page of cssremix.com website.

We share the front page with other amazing sites like GOmediadesign.com and whitehouse.gov.

If you are not familiar with the site, here’s a little explanation of what they are all about:

CSS Remix celebrates the dynamic innovation and creativity of designers who are on the forefront of css-based design. We honor those designers who aren’t afraid to think outside the box and who are reinventing our ideas of what great web design can be… Our site showcase is comprised of only the best sites from all over the globe, and in our designer spotlight we dissect certain sites and pick the brains of their designers to answer such questions as “How’d they do that?”

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve posted updated photos of the renovation. Things are coming along nicely; all the drywall is up, we’ve added a feature wall near the front entrance, plumbing is now roughed in, and we’ve ordered the carpet and paint. Next step is priming, first coat of paint, and the ceiling install. Stay tuned…

The girls are still in the hunt and have made it to the “C” qualifier that plays today @ 2:00 pm.

Earlier last week Trent was asked to speak at the CYBF (Canadian Youth Business Foundation) conference in Saskatoon. This conference was created to showcase young entrepreneurs who have benefited from their partnerships.

After a quick update to the floorplan the renovaters got to work framing. Each of the offices have been framed, as well as the conference room, kitchen and storage room. It looks like they are going to be putting up the drywall next, which should give us an even better idea of what everything is going to look like in a few months when we get to move back in. The entire office has taken shape over the course of 3 days, it is exciting to see our vision coming to life.

In just under a month the office has been completely stripped apart. The new office is going to be over twice the size of our original space, so we are going to have plenty of room to expand. Enjoy!

In order to accomodate our 2009 growth, we have decided that an office expansion is in order. To make sure that OH! Media employees aren’t working on top of each other for the next few years, we are renovating our current office location to give ourselves bigger and brighter space that is customized for the needs of a web design and development company. Here are a few pictures of what has been done so far since work began a week ago:

As you can see, it’s quite a mess. While we are waiting for construction to finish, we will be in temporary office space at 101-533 Victoria Avenue.
