We are looking for an individual with web programming skills to join us in our Regina office on a permanent, full-time basis.

Responsibilities

The Junior Web Designer/Developer will work directly with the development, design and marketing teams, focusing mainly on creating web pages, emails, web ads and web graphics.

Requirements

- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take art direction and criticism well
- A willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be well organized
- Comfortable working independently
- Good communication skills
- Creative problem solving
- Able to maintain aesthetic consistency
- Must provide a portfolio of sample work
- Code by hand (Sorry, no Dreamweaver)

Skills

- Strong knowledge of Photoshop / Fireworks / Illustrator
- Proficient in HTML and XHTML/CSS
- FTP knowledge
- Converting photoshop / fireworks into XHTML / CSS

Major Pluses

- Search Engine Optimization experience
- XML and JavaScript
- Knowledge of W3C and Web 2.0 standards
- Experience with Adobe Flash / ActionScript
- Basic knowledge of PHP / MySQL
- Introductory knowledge of video and audio creation

• Build both static and dynamic websites using a combination of client and server-side languages.
• Document code, track and fix bugs and glitches.
• Communicate with team members and clients on the best ways to complete projects.

Requirements

• Ability to produce and edit web content using HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.
• Ability to develop web applications that solve unique problems.
• Ability to work on-site, full-time at our office in Regina, Saskatchewan. (No telecommuting)
• Some experience of website design, layout and construction.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, in both written and oral communications.

Applicants who are familiar with JavaScript, AJAX and/or Flash will be given preference.
